Tip 1.Most Important tips for the Freshers Must Attend your Fresher Induction it  w'll really help you to  know about LPU rules,policy and academics because each year LPU change some rules only for the freshers those things   u  w'll know  in your induction best of Luck  for your Future. By

Tip2.To get good marks is obviously a matter of discussion,
Attend classes .. YOU GET MARKS WHICH DIRECTLY ADDS UPTO FINAL COUNTING.. so attendance marks do matter.
Do well in your mid term tests: the syllabus is lesser than end terms+ the pressure of assignement or tests is not much before Mid terms and if you score good in them, a bit confidence is there which help you do good in end terms..
Do not completely rely on end terms, as after mid terms you get number of extra activities+ academic work, so dont be lazy.
do not always be a book worm, enjoy your college life, you will not get it again, join clubs and be a part of co-curriculars too...
DO NOT WORRY THERE IS NO RAGGING HERE  

strictly adhere to the course books mentioned in your instruction plan (they can be uninteresting or tough) but if you go by them, chances of scoring high increases!!! - by Harpreet singh horan (Batch 2010, CSE)

Tip 3.  Dear freshers welcum to d new world f lpu, here u just hv to be careful abt few things, 1st most thing is abt attendence and class assesments plz pay 100% seriousness towards dem, try to follow ur IP, and the most importantly lpu gives u a platform to groom urselves.... so just see n find out ur area of interest and woek upon it accordingly..... all d very best to all f u .- by 2nd yr MBA, NIMMI SINGH

Tip4. Don't put yourself locked into hostels or stick with pc games with the lappy's you bring with u,,,rather try to go out explore different events, programmes, activities, courses etc.(u cud get them at block 13)...as there nothing less to anything u can get here,,,which wud rather develop your abilities...and rememebr,,,the company how you make..matter a lot...try to make friends who are conscious about what they speak and what they do..abt good thins,,,,n..studies....its ur part,,,do it ur way but the best of u,,,,all the best . Tip5.  Try not to argue with ur professors, h.o.d, classmates & seniors on useless issues....respect them all & get their respect in turn....& just try to live every moment at lpu....gud luck for ur time at lpu... by-

Tip6 . Maintain ur attendance . Take every semester countable. Don't argue or show your attitude in front of faculty members. Don't involve in any type of fight in the university campus. Don't get too much serious about you relationships. Don't brake the university's property , you'll be surely punished for that. Be friendly with you mates and seniors. Do full-toos masti but don't forget the limits and rules which you have to follow at any cost. . .

Tip7. You will hear a lot of rumours in lpu; trust no senior, no classmate, no hostel staff, no teacher.. only believe the UMS. And one more thing.. strictly follow the ip.. if a topic is there in ip it will be there in exam. cheerz  By- (Kaushik Saha, B.Tech Civil 3rd year)

Tip8.>first dnt listen joining any company that say make more and more members and earn money.

>dnt ever try to indulge with security staff.a bit mistake can lead to your suspension and cancellation of scolarship.
>dont confined yourself in your room,try to involve with university events,join student organisation,spc,soc
>if you have any innovative idea/projets start working on it from the beginning,labs are open and "few" teachers are there who can help you
>avoid bad company especially "drug addicts" it can ruin you
>college life mean=masti+study both ,maintain both eually groom yourself,
>take help and tips from seniors..if you feel any confusion..!!

Tip9. dear freshers, LPU gives you a golden opportunity to know about different cultures of India (the cultural diversity which you all will get here you will not get anywhere else... :-)) , just take the total benifit of this... And about your career, the books which are prescribed by the faculties, just go through them thoroghly, they are really very good books... Tip 10. Dear freshers, u gonna Have all imaginable fun n enjoymnt which a colg lyf has. Jst lpu gives u unccountable opportunities, dnt miss it. Nd most importantly. Study since beggining, coz later i dnt want u to Regret upon urself. Masti bhi karo dabake nd Padhai bhi. Olso fr all singles, im sure u gonna get ur Lovestory startd soon in here.
